Safety Plus clear polycarbonate plastic cover plate protects the filter plate from damage during the welding process. It is used in the fixed portion of the flip-front helmet. This impact-resistant lens is designed to protect the welder's eyes when the flip-front is lifted. The cover plate only protects the filter plate from damage during the welding process. Safety Plus is not recommended as a cover lens. This cover plate meets Federal impact and penetrations tests and ANSI A87.1-2003 safety standards.
