Out in the shipyards, construction sites, and fabrication shops, it pays to keep it simple. The Flextec® 500X multi-process welder is easy to set up and operate, yet rugged enough to stand up to heavy-duty indoor and outdoor applications. Basic pulse MIG capability is standard on the Flextec 500X, including weld modes for carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and metal-cored electrodes.

The Flextec® 500X welder is also equipped with CrossLinc® technology, giving you the flexibility to control the machine from hundreds of feet away without a control cable.

Simple operation and setup make the Flextec® 500X easy to use, while CrossLinc® technology eliminates extra cables for a cleaner and more efficient work area. Its IP23 rating allows the machine to excel in outdoor environments such as construction sites and shipyards, and its Desert Duty® rating ensures reliable operation in harsh conditions up to 131°F (55°C). Durable trayed and potted PC boards provide additional environmental protection for the machine's electronics.

The Flextec® 500X is a flexible multi-process power source compatible with all 42 VAC wire feeders for MIG and Flux-Cored welding. ArcLink® connectivity provides synergic pulse modes, while CrossLinc® enables remote control of CV and CC processes without additional cables. Optimized Stick welding performance supports both cellulosic and low-hydrogen electrodes, and Touch Start TIG offers easy, contamination-free starts without high frequency.

CrossLinc® technology provides full functionality without control cables, allowing remote procedure adjustments at the feeder to improve weld quality. This reduces trips back to the power source, increases arc time, and improves jobsite safety by minimizing cable clutter.
